The Race Media Awards is delighted to announce that sports broadcaster Jo Ankier will host the fifth instalment of the event, which will take place on January 21st 2026.

Ankier was a British Steeplechase record holder, before embarking on a TV presenting career that has encompassed everything from E1 Series to the Olympics, The America’s Cup, athletics, boxing and red carpet work at the ESPY Awards.

She will take to the stage at One Ninetyfour Piccadilly to present all 10 trophies to the deserving winners of The Race Media Awards, the only industry awards that recognise excellence in motorsport communications, marketing, events and PR.

Jo Ankier said: “I’m truly honoured to be hosting such a prestigious celebration of creativity and excellence in motorsports media. Over the past few years I’ve loved diving deeper into motorsports presenting, from MotoAmerica in the US to Extreme E and Formula 1 across Europe, and I cannot wait to celebrate the incredible talent driving the sport forward.”

Andrew van de Burgt, founder and CEO of The Race Media said: “I’m thrilled that Jo is the next host for our Awards. Each year we aim to change the look, feel and tone of the event, and I think that Jo’s sparkling personality will add a different dimension to next year’s show. This event is always a great opportunity to meet new people inside the world of motorsport, but it is also key to bring in new faces from the outside world and I think Jo is the ideal host to do just that.”

Every year, The Race Media Awards gather key industry leaders to celebrate the latest creative excellence across all tiers of motorsport. Each of the 10 awards categories are free to enter and for those fortunate enough to be shortlisted, the ceremony is free to attend. With previous winners from the worlds of Formula 1, MotoGP, Formula E, endurance racing and grassroots motorsport, the independent awards champion diverse entries that span the global motor racing community.
