Williams Racing wins big at The Race Media Awards 2025

  • Biggest ever Awards draws largest audience to date
  • Winners spread across the motorsport world
  • Double wins for Williams Racing, first two-wheel triumph for Gresini Racing

LONDON, UK (Wednesday, 29th January 2025) The Race Media Awards’ biggest event to date was a roaring success, with a packed audience from the world of motorsport flocking to Plaisterers’ Hall in London to celebrate excellence in the industry’s communications, marketing, events and PR.

With support from MOTUS | ONE, the industry’s fastest-growing awards were presented by Eurosport and TNT presenter Orla Chennaoui to a rapturous reception from business leaders, race teams, award-winning agencies and global sponsors.

Williams Racing enjoyed great success, bagging two TRMA trophies at the ceremony. The F1 team picked up Best Live Experience for the ‘Williams Racing Fan Zones’ (produced in association with Kraken and FanCapital) and Creative Content of the Year for its ambitious ‘Michelob ULTRA Lap of Legends’ virtual race, which the judges praised for “breaking new ground with the clever use of AI”.

New ground was also broken as Gresini Racing became the first MotoGP entry to win an Award, picking up Best Social Media Activation for ‘Facciamo Un Cinema’. Gresini capitalised on a unique opportunity of Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez racing for the same team, reimagining the brothers as protagonists in a playful series of iconic movie poster homages throughout the season.

The three new Awards drew superb entries, and were very closely fought. ‘Villeneuve Pironi’ claimed Best Documentary, the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix were the inaugural Race Promoter of the Year, while Efe Akçay was crowned our very first Rising Star for his outstanding creative visualisation work through his Formula Addict channel.
